Unmodified Chest Rig:

This is a slightly later (1999 buckle date) version of the type of chest rig which was modified to make the panel below on this page.

Tag:

This type of tag was used between 1998 and 2005. [1]

Buckles:

All date information comes from the buckles.

Pouches:

Side pouches for pistol magazines are missing their flaps.

Modified Panel:

This placard was made from a Black Hawk M4 Chest Rig similar to the one shown above. It was likely intended to be mounted to external velcro loop on a body armor vest like a PBPV [2]. This is similar to the panel made for tactical tailor MOLLE pouches.

Inside:

Velcro hook is attached to a panel of black 1000D cordura that is stitched onto the main chest rig body, creating a back compartment like the one found in the contemporary LBT-1961B. The compartment could also be used to store documents.

Straps:

Sides:

Sides have been melted to prevent fraying.
