Most photos showing this camouflage pattern in use are from the 1980 – 1986 Ugandan Civil War following the death of Idi Amin. It appears to have been heavily used by both the National Resistance Army (NRA) insurgents led by Yoweri Museveni as well as the Ugandan National Liberation Army (UNLA), their government opponents.
