The Close Combat Uniform (CCU) was the immediate predecessor of the ACU.  It was tested by Stryker brigades (among others) in the 2003 Iraq War. This cut of uniform is most commonly found in Three Color Desert (DCU), Woodland (M81), and Scorpion (Multicam predecessor), though prototype pattern colorways like Urban Tracks have also been reported.
