Six color desert pattern uniforms were worn by some in the Iraqi army, particularly after the invasion. The pattern choice was likely due to experiences facing US troops in the First Gulf War, despite the fact the pattern’s deficiencies during that conflict caused it to be replaced by the 3-color desert pattern on the DCU in US service.
