These shirts are made from herringbone twill (HBT) material to inhibit tears like US uniforms of the mid-40’s. The cut is clearly based on the US HBT utility fatigues, but with epaulettes for insignia and smaller pockets. The “KL” seen on the tag means “Koninklijke Landmacht” (“Royal Army” in Dutch).
