US Demolition Belt Kit (1990’s)

This belt kit consists of US pouches mounted to a 1989 dated LC-2 (ALICE) belt with a plastic buckle. The pouches appear to have been used to carry components necessary for explosive demolition.

The 1989 contract date is the latest-dated part on this set.

M1956 Magazine Pouch:

The M56 magazine pouch has zip ties tucked into one of the side loops.

M3 Grease Gun SMG Magazine Pouch:

Shoulder strap has been cut off.

M3 SMG Pouch is made of nylon. This type of pouch was initially made for the Vietnam War, but it was produced and used throughout the 1980’s – 1990’s, particularly by vehicle crew members issued the M3 Grease Gun for self-defense[1].

Leather Tool Holder:

Notes on charge timing are hand-written onto the leather.

The leather tool carrier is likely a commercial copy of the government-issued item since it has the typical nomenclature label, with the stock and contract numbers, stamped on, and “Made in USA”.

An unknown tool and whistle, likely for warning others of an imminent explosion, are attached to the leather tool carrier.
