South Vietnamese Armor Beret (1960’s?)

Beret is made in the French 3-parts style, from three separate panels of wool fabric (2 for the sides + 1 for the top).

Internal reinforcement patch is placed where beret insignia would go if it were worn in the French style (over the right eye).

Relatively large size (59).

Badge:

Bullion wire insignia is damaged from wear. Badge is placed above the left eye (as worn), which is the American style of wear. Taken together with the relatively large size, this beret was likely worn by an American advisor.
