LBT-0712A Map Case:




Made from 420D Olive Drab nylon pack cloth. The LBT-0712A map case was meant to hold a topographical map as well as small items such as a combination ruler/protractor, pens and pencils. It can be folded to fit in a BDU pocket [1].

1982 date. The map shows the area around Ft. Sherman, on the northern (Caribbean) side of Panama. Fort Sherman was the location of the Jungle Warfare School [3]. Panama City, where most of the fighting took place during Operation Just Cause, the US invasion of Panama (December 1989 – January 1990), is south of the area covered on the map [4].
